The K-Pop boy band BTS finally entered the VMAs stage. They even lit up the Times Square while performing on their recently released music video 'Dynamite'. For the uninformed, the single broke all records - by gathering 24 million views in 20 minutes, and 100 million views in 24 hours.

ARMY (BTS fans) could not stop talking about their performance. From their synchronized dance moves, to each member of the group owning the stage with their expressions, BTS left the fans speechless. Their retro look, especially, has caught people's attention.

They performed in front of a green screened backdrop of various New York locations like the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, the Empire State Building. Towards the end of the song, a more dynamic Seoul background appeared behind them, with fireworks going off in the sky, just like from the original 'Dynamite' video.

"ARMYs, are you ready," asked the host, before going on to introduce the K-pop boy band for the first time at VMAs. "All the way from South Korea, BTS!" is all that could be heard before a loud cheer of the ARMY. In fact, 'Dynamite' is expected to have a high debut on the Billboard Hot 100 this upcoming week following its first full week of release.

Talking about the meaning behind 'Dynamite', RM had said, "It's a really fun disco-pop track about doing what we can do, even when things don't work out as planned."

The boy band also won the VMAs for Best Pop, for their map single 'On'. BTS managed to beat Halsey, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber and Quavo, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift in the category. The group has won the award for second time in a row. In 2019, they grabbed the award for 'Boy With Luv' featuring Halsey. BTS also bagged the 'Best Group' award at VMAs 2020.
