Abs ne bana di jodi: This Marwari couple's fitness transformation will even leave SRK in awe

Stop the press. It looks like we’ve stumbled upon the real-life version of Shah Rukh Khan’s character from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, whose transformation has left us awestruck.

According to a report in TOI, The Sharmas were your regular Marwari couple, by no means unfit but with the general adipose quality that we associate with the middle class in our society

Yet the 40-year-old, when his shirt buttons started feeling a little tight, set upon a fitness transformation journey which would leave everyone shocked. The 40-year-old Aditya weighed 72 kg and ended up losing 20kg, a task which was complicated by the fact that his typical Marwari mother felt that her son was starving. He didn’t do it alone, and his wife Gayatri also lost 11kg. 

According to an report on Rediff.com, Aditya is a full-time government employee who works in the education department in Rajasthan, his wife is a homemaker. They have two children – a son aged 14 and a daughter who is 9.

Workout

The power couple worked out six days a week, focussing on two body parts each day. Even though they faced some of the typical Indian jibes which percolate in our society, the duo wasn’t dissuaded by the criticism. Aditya lost 20 kg and reduced his body fat percentage to only 8%.

Diet

The couple, being vegetarians, loaded up on paneer and soya chunks for both lunch and breakfast, and ate rice and soya chunks for dinner. On cheat days, they ate whatever their heart desired and ensured that they get enough multivitamins as part of their supplements.

The couple's transformation clearly shows that being fit isn't just an option for celebs but anyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle.
