'Every craft is truly amazing, writing is something else': SS Rajamouli praises 'Drishyam 2' director Jeethu Joseph

Jeethu Joseph directorial Drishyam 2 has been lauded by the masses and critics across the country. The film is a sequel to the 2013 blockbuster flick and has Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil reprising their roles. It's been nearly a month since the film streamed on Amazon Prime Video and now, filmmaker SS Rajamouli praised Jeethu for creating magic on the screen. The Baahubali helmer sent a personal message to Joseph and the latter posted it on his Instagram page.

The message read as "Hi Jeethu, This is Rajamouli. Film Director... watched Drishyam 2, a few days back... It lingered so much in my thoughts that I watched Drishyam first part.. (I only watched Drishyam in Telugu when it released). I must say the direction screenplay editing acting. every craft is truly amazing. but the writing is really something else… it is world standard...the first part itself is a masterpiece..for the second one...to come up with a storyline that seamlessly merges with the first, with the same gripping narration is nothing short of brilliance. Hoping to see many more masterpieces from you… (sic)."

Jeethu captioned the post stating, "Thank you Rajamouli sir... I am honoured...you made my day."

Meanwhile, during an exclusive interaction with DNA, when Jeethu was asked about working with Mohanlal, the filmmaker said, "Even if it's the first or second film or 100th film, working with Mohanlal is always the same. He is a very cool, down to earth person. He is a very highly professional actor and a director's actor. Mohanlal is very easy to work with, that's why every director in this country dreaming about working with Mohanlal."
