The singer, who was receiving treatment for coronavirus, was in a critical condition, but fortunately, is now stable. He is still on Ventilator and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support in the ICU at MGM Healthcare, as confirmed by Charan. The hospital released various press bulletins which confirmed the same. The last press bulletin was unveiled on August 22, after which Charan has gone on to state that SPB's health is now better.

The last time we heard about SPB, National and international experts had collaborated with the team of clinicians to treat him. Balasubrahmanyam's vital parameters, which were satisfactory on August 19, were also being closely monitored.

Balasubrahmanyam's son SP Charan had confirmed the news of the renowned singer being on ventilator on Tuesday itself. He had also stated that a team of experts is examining him.

SPB was admitted to the hospital on August 5, 2020. Renowned celebrities from the South Indian film industry, like Rajinikanth, Sivakumar and others wished him a speedy recovery.

It was previously reported that actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan would pray for the singer's speedy recovery. While neither Rajini nor Haasan could be seen, 'Baahubali' actor Satyaraj did pray for SPB virtually along with other South Indian film celebs recently.
