Salman Khan's 10 Ka Dum to replace Kapil's show?

If all goes well Salman Khan will return as the host of 10 Ka Dum after eight years for the third season. Not only that, it is likely to replace The Kapil Sharma Show. “10 Ka Dum is very close to Salman as he made his TV debut with this show. It was the first show he hosted before Bigg Boss and he likes it. Earlier, the makers felt that he was under an exclusive contract with Colors for Bigg Boss, but that is not so. Now, Sony is going all out to get him back,” says a source adding that things will be finalised in a day or two.  

As for the likelihood of Salman’s show replacing Kapil’s, the source says, “When the talks started with Salman around one-and-a-half months ago, the Sunil Grover-Kapil fight hadn’t happened. At that time, the channel was thinking of airing 10 Ka Dum in the 8-9 pm slot while Kapil’s show would continue at 9 pm. However, ever since the Sunil-Kapil fight happened, and the former stayed away, the ratings of The Kapil Sharma Show have gone down drastically. The comedy show, which used to garner 2.6 ratings is now somewhere around 1.6. The channel has doled out a huge amount — three times the money Colors was paying — to Kapil for the show. But the ratings aren’t justifying that amount now. So, they might replace it with Salman’s show. But nothing has been finalised yet.”
