'RRR': Ajay Devgn starts shooting for SS Rajamouli's period action flick in Hyderabad

It was last year when the makers of RRR announced that Ajay Devgn has been roped in to play a prominent role in the film. The period drama is being directed by SS Rajamouli and stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in leading roles. The shooting of the film has been taking place in full swing and the makers are leaving no stone unturned in completing the film as per schedule.

Now, finally, Ajay has kickstarted the shoot for RRR in Hyderabad today. The official Twitter page of the film announced it with a photo of Ajay posing with Rajamouli. They wrote, "All of us are supercharged and ecstatic to kickstart our schedule with @AjayDevgn Ji today... Welcome Sir #AjayDevgn #RRRMovie #RRR"

Talking about the schedule, a source had told Mid Day, "It's a 25-day intense shooting schedule in Hyderabad. The team has been working on the pre-production and has been building massive sets in the city. Ajay will shoot along with South megastars Ram Charan and Jr NTR over this schedule."

While announcing Ajay being cast in the film, RRR Twitter page had written, ".@ajaydevgn Sir, we are grateful to have you on the board. It's a pleasure that you play a prominent role in the film."

Meanwhile, RRR was all set to hit the screens in July this year. However, as per the latest reports, the film release has been pushed and it will be hitting the screens in October now.

Apart from Jr NTR, Ram and Alia, RRR also has Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody playing important characters.
