Prabhas' sky-high career will reach more heights after 'Adipurush': SS Rajamouli

During the lockdown, Prabhas announced three projects namely Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hegde, Nag Ashwin film with Deepika Padukone and Om Raut's directorial Adipurush. The actor became a nationwide hero with his stint in the Baahubali franchise helmed by SS Rajamouli. Now, the ace filmmaker who is currently working on RRR has praised Prabhas and spoke about his forthcoming film, Adipurush. Rajamouli also revealed that he knew about the film before a formal announcement was made.

The Baahubali director stated, "I know about Adipurush even before the announcement. It is the perfect time to make a movie with a story based on Lord Rama."

Talking about Prabhas's journey, Rajamouli went on to say, "Already Prabhas' career is sky high and it will reach more heights after this."

Earlier talking about playing Adipurush, Prabhas stated in a statement, "Every role and every character come with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our Epic especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love for our film."

Whereas Om Raut said, "I am grateful to Prabhas for accepting the part and my vision and Bhushanji for his unconditional support to realise my dream project. We embark on this journey with tremendous passion and pride and promise our audience an experience like never before."

The rest of the casting is yet to be announced and the release date is likely to be in 2022.
