Malayalam actor-director Sidharth Bharathan was critically injured in an accident on Saturday around 2 am when his vehicle hit a roadside wall in Kochi. 

The 32-year-old, who directed the hit film Chandrettan Evideya, has now been declared stable after crossing 30 hours in a critical condition. He is still unconscious.

According to Malayala Manorama, he suffered a serious head injury which caused internal bleeding. He will require surgeries on his knee and thigh in the days to come.

He has been admitted to the Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi. His mother, actress KPAC Lalitha, and his sister are by his side. The report states that he responded to his mother.

Doctors have reportedly said that the surgeries can be performed on him only when he fully regains consciousness. For now, Sidharth is being closely monitored.
