Pushplata failed twice but that didn’t discourage her. Finally, in the 3rd year, she finally cracked the exam and ranked 80th.
The Civil Services Exam are one of the toughest exams to crack. Some people take more than a year to crack it while some crack it without even taking any coaching. To crack such an exam like UPSC it requires a lot of dedication and determination. Here’s one such story of IAS Pushpalata who cracked UPSC with a great rank.
IAS Pushplata Yadav is originally from Khusbura, a small village in the Rewari district of Haryana. Her early education took place in the village itself. She did a B.Sc. and later a post-graduation and MBA.
Pushplata started working in the private sector for two years and was selected as an Assistant Manager at the State Bank of Hyderabad.
She got married later and started living in Manesar. She thought of picking the books again to write the civil services exam while she had a 2-year-old son. She prepared for around 4 years to write the UPSC paper and her family supported her throughout. She was finally able to crack the UPSC Civil Services paper and received an AIR 80.
While she was busy studying her husband took care of their son so that her wife could concentrate. She used to wake up at 4 a.m. in the morning and study for a while and then send her kid to school and continue after he left. After his arrival from the school, she used to put him to sleep and study.
She failed twice but that didn’t discourage her. She continued to study and focus even more. In the 3rd year, she finally cracked the exam and ranked 80th in 2017.
