Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) announced the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Result 2020 on August 21, Thursday at 12:30 PM on its official website. Candidates who appeared in the exam are requested to visit kea.kar.nic.in or karresults.nic.in to check and download their results.

 1,75,349 students out of the total 1,94,419 candidates who registered for KCET appeared for the test.

Kodagu has topped among districts with a pass percentage of 94.73 percent. Vijaypura has scored lowest with a pass percentage of 82.98 percent

A total of 1,53,470 students have qualified for engineering seats.

3 students scored  60/60 or full marks in Chemistry, 80 students scored full marks in Biology. In Physics, mathematics, no one could score the full marks.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister C N Ashwathanarayan announced the results through a press conference.

63 candidates who tested COVID-19 positive had taken the exams on July 30, 31.

According to the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister two candidates who were asymptomatic COVID-19 patients secured good ranks - -'Rank 214, and Rank 615'.

KCET Result 2020: Steps to check

Step 1: Visit the official websites kea.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link which reads ‘CET Result announced on 21st August 2020’

Step 3: You will be directed to a new page.

Step 4: Enter the registration number, date of birth and click submit.

Step 5: Your 'KCET Result 2020' will be displayed on the screen.

After the results are released, college-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official website. Based on the ranking of the students, which will be provided by the examination authority, candidates will be able to sit for the registration, document verification, filling of choices of colleges and courses, allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes.

The counselling process is scheduled to end by October 2020.
