Raju Srivastav, who is popular for his stage character 'Gajodhar Bhaiya' has opened up on the threats he is receiving from Pakistan.
Comedian turned politician Raju Srivastav has revealed that he is getting threats from Pakistan. Raju started his career as a comedian but in 2014 ventured into politics from the Samajwadi Party. Later, within the same month, he joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
In an exclusive chat with Zee news, Raju, who is popular for his stage character 'Gajodhar Bhaiya' has opened up about the death threats he is receiving from Pakistan. He said, “These days I am getting death threats and derogatory words are used against my family. But we are not scared of these things, I feel proud to be born in a Hindu Rashtra.”
He added, “When we praise our nation, or the surgical strikes, so naturally the enemies won’t like it. They abuse and give threats then. But this is also a compliment for me. Let them be angry, for me, my nation is first.
“Jo Ram Ka Nahi Vo Kisi Kaam Ka Nahi" (He, who does not belong to Lord Rama, is of no use),” the comedian said.
Raju Srivastav is currently the Chairman of UP Film Development Council.
In 2010, Srivastav received threatening calls from Pakistan warning him to not speak on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan during his shows.
Raju Srivastav got his initial fame as a look alike of Amitabh Bachchan. He forayed into acting and had small roles in several films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Bombay to Goa’. He then found his calling as a stand up comedian and participated in ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ and its spin-off, ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge - Champions’, in which he won.
Raju has also been a part of reality TV shows like 'Bigg Boss 3’ and ‘Nach Baliye 6’. He has also appeared in Kapil Sharma’s first show, Comedy Nights with Kapil.
