Youth commits suicide in ICU washroom

A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide inside the washroom of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in outer Delhi. The man was allegedly depressed as his wife had deserted him. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

According to the police, Rahul worked as a nursing assistant at the hospital. "He was found lying inside the washroom which was locked from inside. There were no external injury marks on the body," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rohini.

The post-mortem report will reveal the cause of death. The incident created a panic at the hospital. On being informed of the incident, the police reached the hospital. Police officials questioned the hospital's staff who told them that he was upset. According to the police, he was upset as his wife had left him. Unable to deal with this he took the extreme step.
