The 16-year-old slit his employer's throat while she was watching TV at her home in Lajpat Nagar
Cops in Sahibabad were left dumbstruck as a 16-year-old domestic help walked into the police station on Wednesday night crying because he had murdered his employer. It wasn't because of money or threats but due to her constant sexual demands which he kept turning down.
According to the statement made to the police, the accused, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, stated that he had murdered his employer, Anita, by slitting her throat at her residence in Lajpat Nagar on Wednesday night. After the murder, the minor boy went to the police station and surrendered.
"The boy arrived at the police station in tears and stated that he had murdered his employer. He said that since he felt guilty for committing the crime he came directly to the police station," said Anup Singh, Circle Officer-4,
Sahibabad. Singh added that the boy's clothes and hands were soaked in blood.
Later on, police, along with the boy, went to Sangam Apartments where the victim resided. "She was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood. There was no one at home, apart from her two-and-a-half-year old daughter who was found sleeping in the bedroom," Singh said.
During interrogations, the minor told the police that his employer would often ask him to engage in sexual relations with her. He kept refusing her and had earlier even threatened to kill her. Despite this, he said that she kept mounting pressure on him to engage in a physical relationship with her.
Police sources said that Anita had, on occasion, even told the boy that she would file a case of sexual assault against him if he did not sleep with her.
On Wednesday night, she was alone at home and was watching television when he entered her room, grabbed her by the neck and slit her throat with a kitchen knife. Her husband Ompal was at work when the incident happened.
The boy would help the family with all the household and Ompal's business work. The boy came to work for the family after he was picked up at New Delhi railway station around 15 months ago when he was looking for a job.
