A robber was gunned down and a policeman was injured during a late-night shootout on Tuesday in the Bisrakh area in Greater Noida. According to police, Delhi-based businessman, Vinod Kumar, was returning to Delhi from Dasna in his car, when three bike-borne miscreants held him at gunpoint near Sector 62, and robbed his car and the cash he was carrying.
"The bike-borne miscreants intercepted, Vinod near Sector 62 and robbed his Honda City car and Rs 1.5 lakh at gunpoint late and fled away. Soon after the incident, he called the PCR and informed about the robbery. Soon the police swung into action."said Love Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gautam Budh Nagar.

Bisrakh police intercepted the robbers at Cherry County in Tech Zone-4 in Greater Noida.and signaled them to stop. After being surrounded by police, robbers opened fire at the police party and in retaliation they fired back at the robbers.
According to police, the injured persons were rushed to district hospital in Noida, where the robber was declared dead. Police have also launched a search operation to nab the absconding criminals.
