Team India announced a 15-men squad for the World Test Championship final including six batsmen, two wicketkeepers, two spinners and five pacers.
Opening batsman Mayank Agarwal and pace bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur were among the five players, who missed out to be in the final 15-player Team India squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand at Southampton, starting June 18.
Left-arm spinning all-rounder Axar Patel, off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar and wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul were the other three names to miss out from the list of 20 players named for the England tour.
Led by skipper Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane being his deputy, BCCI has named the final squad which includes six batsmen, two wicketkeepers, two spinners and five pacers.
Earlier, New Zealand announced their squad for the summit clash and the likes of Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner had to face the ouster with Colin de Grandhomme being the sole all-rounder on the side.
