The Indian bowlers on Thursday were on point when the 'Men In Blue' defeated West Indies by 125-run at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Mohammed Shami produced yet another magnificent performance to put his team on the front foot in the early stages of India's 268-run defend against the Windies.

The right-arm fast bowler picked up the very dangerous Chris Gayle (6) and Shai Hope (5) in his first couple of overs and handed his side the advantage.

In his 6.2 overs, Shami picked up four wickets against West Indies, giving away just 16 runs with an average of 2.53 R/O. Brought in as a replacement for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who picked up an injury against Pakistan, Shami has been in top form for the past two matches for Team India.

Against Afghanistan, Shami pulled off a hattrick in his final over and managed to pick up four wickets. At Old Trafford on Thursday, Shami managed to bag four wickets again, taking his tally to 8 in two matches at the World Cup 2019 for the Blues.

Jasprit Bumrah was once again deadly with the ball for captain Kohli. The right-handed pacer made life difficult from the get-go for the Windies batsmen, who got rattled time-and-time again by his smashing yorkers and inswingers.

Ranked as the no.1 ODI bowler in the world right now, Bumrah was economical with his bowling again. In his 6 overs, Bumrah gave only 9 runs and picked up 2 very important wickets of Shimron Hetmyer (18) and Carlos Brathwaite (1) in the same over, taking his wickets tally to 9 for the World Cup.

Team India now are on 11 points and are almost through to the semi-finals. They now need only one win in their final three matches to concrete their position in the top four as West Indies were knocked out with two games remaining.
