Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc on Tuesday replaced England's Jofra Archer as the leading wicket-taker at this year's ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The 29-year old fast bowler started the match against England on Tuesday with 15 wickets already under his belt. Starc picked up four crucial wickets for Australia - Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Adil Rashid and took his wicket tally to 19 in the tournament.

The Australian fast bowler returned with the figure of 4-43 in the end against the hosts. Before this, Starc was the joint top wicket-taker at the 2015 World Cup with Trent Boult of New Zealand, both bowlers with 22 wickets under their belt.

England's Jofra Archer is currently on 16 with Mohammad Amir of Pakistan on 15. New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson (14) and England's Mark Wood (13) complete the top five wicket-takers' list.

Aaron Finch's Australia on Tuesday became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after defeating Eoin Morgan's England bt an emphatic 64 runs.

England now need to win their final two games against India and New Zealand in order to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament. If England manage to win one of their two final matches, their fortune will depend on other results in the tournament.
