New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has expressed his thoughts after his side lost yet another match in Super Over, this time against India in the third T20I match at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Wednesday (January 29).

Speaking at the post-match press-conference, Williamson was absolutely downhearted and said: “Super Overs aren't really our friends. To be honest we would have liked to get across the line earlier and not in the Super Over."

"It's just a shame that we couldn't get past the line. It is pretty disappointing to be on the wrong side of the result after doing a lot of hard work. (But) There was a lot of improvement after the first two games,” he added.

The Kiwi skipper played a captain's knock on the day, scoring 95 runs before Mohammed Shami dismissed him the high-intensity final over of the second innings.

“There was something in it for the bowlers but both sides maximized shorter side of the boundary towards the scoreboard and made a very good game of cricket," Williamson claimed.

"Very disappointing after coming off from an effort like that. It was nice to spend some time in the middle and build some partnerships because starting on this deck wasn't easy. It was disappointing not to cross the finishing line,” he added.
