The 33-year-old Bengal captain who had represented franchises like Delhi Capitals (earlier Delhi Daredevils), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) and Kings XI Punjab (he was part of that team in 2018) was shocked as he found no buyers, bringing back the 2016 scenario.
In 2010, Tiwary was traded off to the KKR for Moises Henriques and in subsequent editions, his value declined. Tiwary was reclaimed by KKR and he stayed with them for a few seasons where he also won the title in 2012. In 2018, he had played for Kings XI Punjab after being purchased for 1 crore.
