The actor had started his career through television serial Pavitra Rishta and then moved on to Bollywood. He has acted in hit Bollywood films like Kai Po Chhe and MS Dhoni, a film based on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s life.
Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan expressed his grief after the unfortunate and sudden demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The 34-year-old actor reportedly committed suicide on Sunday and his body was found hanging from the ceiling of his Bandra house.
Dhawan took to social media revealed how sad he was with the news and extended his thoughts and prayers to Sushant's family, friends and foes.
"Still unable to believe this. This is so, so sad. Thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and all the fans of Sushant. Rest in peace, God bless your soul," Shikhar captioned the post.

Several other sports personalities including legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, boxer Vijender Singh, spinner Anil Kumble, Sania Mirza, and many others took it online to share their grief about the untimely demise of the young actor.
Rajput started off his career with television and gained popularity with TV serial 'Pavitra Rishta'.
He made his debut with Abhishek Kapoor`s 'Kai Po Che', and went on to act in several blockbuster hits such as 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', 'PK' and 'Kedarnath'. Rajput was last seen in 'Chhichhore'.
