Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his thoughts on how star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah won't be able to play in all three formats of the game due to his current fitness issues.

Over the past few years, Bumrah has become one of the spearheads in Team India's bowling attack and is also considered one of the best pacers in world cricket by many due to his ability to produce consistently with the ball.

However, the young pacer has suffered some big fitness issues since 2019 and only made his return to cricket during India's series against New Zealand earlier this year.

"Bumrah has a difficult action. He cannot play in all formats," Shoaib Akhtar told former India cricketer Aakash Chopra during an interview on his YouTube channel.

Raising concerns about Bumrah's back issues, Akhtar said: "It is his braveness that he showed his skills in Test matches. He is a very hard working guy and is very focused. He knows where he wants to go. But will his back support him?"

The former Pak speedster also claimed that he had predicted that Bumrah would suffer such an injury long back.

"Till when will his back withstand that much load. It had to break down. I was watching his matches before he broke down. I was telling my friends that he will break down," he said.
