World Test Championship: Sanjana Ganesan joins husband Jasprit Bumrah on first overseas tour after marriage, see pic

While Jasprit Bumrah is gearing up for the upcoming inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, he is this time accompanied by his wife Sanjana Ganesan. While he has been on tours with Team India as a sports presenter, this would be Sanjana's first overseas tour after marriage.

Both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) had allowed the cricketers' families to travel along with them on the long tour to the UK which includes the WTC final against New Zealand starting on June 18 and then five-Test series against England. 

Sanjana and husband Bumrah checked into the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton along with the rest of the Indian squad on Thursday (June 3).

While Bumrah posted a picture of himself from the balcony of their room, Sanjana posted an Instagram story with a photo of sun-kissed Ageas Bowl ground on her arrival. 

The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa in February this year, had spent a lot of time apart after their honeymoon with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 getting underway in April.

Bumrah had even taken a break after the conclusion pink-ball Test in Ahmedabad for his marriage. He had returned to action in IPL 2021, in which he played seven matches and claimed six wickets.
