Hardik Pandya, who was blessed with a baby boy, has named him Agastya as he continues to be busy with daddy duties before IPL 2020.
Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians and India cricket team all-rounder, was blessed with a baby boy on July 30. Hardik Pandya had announced his engagement with Serbian model Natasa Stankovic on January 1 and the couple kept posting photos of social media. In a post on Instagram recently, Hardik Pandya shared a story of him buying a toy car and naming his son Agastya. In the story, he captioned, “Thank you @amgbangalore for Agastya`s first Amg.” Hardik Pandya has been out of the Indian cricket team due to a back injury sustained during the Asia Cup. The all-rounder was expected to come back for the series between India and South Africa but the first match was washed out in Dharamshala. Eventually, the entire series was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Hardik Pandya on July 25 had taken to social media and shared a heartwarming picture with Stankovic. In the above-mentioned post, the pair can be seen posing with a huge smile on their face for their child. A series of photos on the star couple's Instagram timelines previously showed how Hardik is pampering his ladylove and has already begun his daddy duties.
In a recent post, Hardik and Natasa can be seen celebrating their son's birth with all the hospital staff members of the "Akanksha Hospital & Research Institute". "Special thanks to Akanksha hospital in Anand! Last one week you guys made sure we have our home away from home! @niketunited @drmolinapatel @dr.nayanapatel you guys are absolute gems. Bringing my baby in this world! Will be grateful forever," Hardik Pandya captioned his post on Instagram.
IPL action
The birth of his first son could not have come at a more auspicious time for Hardik Pandya and Indian cricket. Most of Indian cricket team’s star players will be in action during IPL 2020 that will be played in the UAE due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Hardik Pandya will play a key role in the Mumbai Indians team who are the four-time champions of the IPL. In the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians held their nerve to beat Chennai Super Kings by one run in a tense final in Hyderabad.
