With the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just a few days away, Mumbai Indians (MI) unveiled their brand new jersey for IPL 2020. The Mumbai-based franchise took to social media to release their new "Blue and Gold" kit through a unique video for the fans. In Abu Dhabi, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders began their practice sessions after being in quarantine for close to six days. In the above-mentioned video, an individual can be seen doing tricks underwater while showing off Mumbai Indians' new strips for the 13th edition of IPL in UAE.

Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab have also started training as they were the earliest to come to the UAE. However, the situation in Chennai Super Kings is proving to be worrisome and it will take a lot of effort to ensure the tournament goes through without any more COVID mishaps.

The Rohit Sharma led side took to social media and wrote: "BLUE. GOLD. AALA RE!!! Smiling face with heart-shaped eyes The wait is over. Paltan, here’s our official jersey for #Dream11IPL!"

HERE IS THE POST:

The IPL schedule has not yet been released due to the coronavirus spike in Abu Dhabi. The latest development of Chennai Super Kings staff and a player testing positive has thrown their entire practice and preparation in disarray.

According to several reports, the infected members have been shifted to a different hotel while the remaining members are in the same team hotel. The tests were conducted as per the BCCI Standard Operating Protocol which stressed on tests during day 3 and day 6 of their stay. The results have come out on day 6 of the self-isolation period.

An official statement from the Chennai Super Kings franchise is expected on Saturday evening and it will be interesting to see what the statement yields. Meanwhile, the preparation of even Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders has also been thrown into disarray and it looks like the schedule could be impacted even further.
