The ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final has seen the clash between India and New Zealand getting interrupted by rain. The two sides did manage to play on two of the four days and fans witnessed some mind-boggling action.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bowl at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The decision proved vital as India were bundled out for 217. With a mediocre total on the board, Indian bowlers had to take wickets with the new ball.

Skipper Virat Kohli knew the importance of the same, and subsequently, he was spotted sledging New Zealand opener, Tom Latham.

The 32-year-old, when he gave the ball to Jasprit Bumrah, was heard cheekily backing Bumrah to pierce Latham's defences.

"He got no idea Jas [Bumrah], You’re all over him buddy, You can make him up there as well, He knows he’s not getting it on the bat, boys,” the Indian skipper said as caught in the stump microphone.

Unfortunately, Kohli's tactics didn't work as Latham, and his opening partner Devon Conway put on a 70 runs partnership for the first wicket.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Latham for 30, but Conway went on to cross the fifty-run mark. He was eventually got out after scoring 54 runs and at stumps on Day 3, New Zealand were 101/2, trailing 116 runs behind India's first-innings total.

India would be looking to bounce back, but the entire washing out of Day 4 has almost ended their hopes of making a comeback and clinching the title.

On the contrary, New Zealand still have a substantial chance of winning this contest and they need to gain a handy first-innings lead.
