Team India skipper Virat Kohli got off the mark with a sumptuous cover drive off Neil Wagner in the World Test Championship final.

Team India had a great start after losing the toss and being put in to bat first through the two openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Some spectacular strokeplay and wayward bowling from the New Zealand pacers Tim Southee and Trent Boult in their first spells meant the openers got off to a great start.
Both Rohit and Gill played their shots and were severe on anything loose. They brought up their 50-run partnership and soon after both of them fell and New Zealand were right back into the game. First Kyle Jamieson accounted for Rohit, getting him to edge an outswinging ball into the slips and Gill in the next over poked at a Neil Wagner delivery into the gloves of BJ Watling.
After losing two wickets in quick succession, it was time for skipper Virat Kohli to make amends and take India to a safer position and what they say about a good start? Kohli just provided that with a sumptuous cover drive off Wagner to open his account and he was away.
Kohli held the pose and the cameramen will be delighted with the pose and the follow-through. Fans were overjoyed after witnessing the signature Kohli shot and couldn't keep calm as he held his pose. While many people asked for it to be framed and kept in their rooms, many felt that Test cricket was starting to heal after that shot.
