November oil demand falls on weak economy

Oil consumption declined last month due to funding squeeze, as per the oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell

1.8% – decline in India's total usage of oil products to 17.3 million tonne in November

4% – increase was seen in October in country's oil demand

7.1% – growth eased in the three months through September

8% – mark growth hit in the June quarter

2.32 million tonne – expansion in petrol consumption against 2.13 mt a year ago

7.8% – decrease in LPG usage to 1.84 million tons

2.3% – fall in petroleum coke consumption was also seen

3.4% – decline was also seen in last month's car sales on low consumer sentiment

4.8% – contraction to 6.92 million tonne in diesel sale in November

40% – diesel forms of India's oil usage
