He now heads Poonawalla Fincorp which has a market capitalisation of Rs 29,199 crore on NSE as of September 29, 2023. The share price of the company was Rs 379.20 on Friday.
The company is engaged in consumer and MSME financing. It is headquartered in Pune and is part of the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, headed by Cyrus Poonawalla, who is India's richest pharma billionaire with a real-time net worth of Rs 1,71,880 crore, as per Forbes.
