We have all heard of fraudsters who try to scam other people of their hard-earned money by impersonating an official of some esteemed companies. This is why people need to be aware of the authenticity of the call they are getting to protect themselves from the scam.
To prevent their customers from getting fooled and to warn and inform them about the misleading calls, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has circulated some dos and don'ts for its customers.
In addition to this, LIC also asked its customers to be careful about misleading telephone calls from people posing as LIC officials, agents, IRDAI Officials, Officials from ECI (Office of the Executive Council of Insurers), etc.
LIC also clarified that it does not share bonus information with the policyholders through phone calls, and never backs policyholders to discontinue their existing policy/policies.
