CIL subsidiaries to donate Rs 1.75 crore to martyr's family

Two subsidiaries of Coal India Limited - Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) - have decided to donate Rs 1.75 crore to martyred CRPF jawan Vijay Soreng's family, an official release said Monday.

Two subsidiaries of Coal India Limited - Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) - have decided to donate Rs 1.75 crore to martyred CRPF jawan Vijay Soreng's family, an official release said Monday.

Vijay Soreng was a resident of Pharsma village in Jharkhand's Gumla district and he was among the 40 CRPF personnel killed in Pulwama terror attack on February 14.

"At a meeting presided over by CCL/BCCL CMD Gopal Singh here Sunday, it was decided that every employee, executive and non-executive, will contribute Rs 200 to the noble cause," the joint release from the public sector units said.

"Jharkhand is the land of supreme sacrifice and it is our moral responsibility to secure the future of Vijay Sorengs family," Gopal Singh said.
A CCL team will visit Soreng's family in Gumla, it said. 

Meanwhile, to express solidarity with the families of 40 martyrs of dastardly Pulwama attack, Real Estate Developers' Association of India proposed to offer a 2BHK house to each one fo them. The houses will be offer in the area or the state the martyrs belong to. 

India is mourning the death of 40 CRPF soldiers who sacrificed their life for the nation in Pulwama terror attack when an explosive laden SUV blew up near a convoy of 78 buses carrying the CRPF personnel to Kashmir on February 14. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, other senior government and opposition leaders including Congress president Rahul Gandhi have condemned possibly the worst terror attack targeting the Indian armed forces.
