'Will try again next year': Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput skips Karva Chauth fast; here's why

Every year, several Bollywood celebrities share photos and videos from Karva Chauth celebrations on social media pages. A few couples celebrate the day religiously while being decked up in traditional attire. Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are one of those couples! However, this year, the couples are away from each other as Shahid is busy with the shoot. Mira took to her Instagram page and told the actor that she is not fasting this year.

Mira posted a note which read as, "Baby I love you but I love food too... To our forever threesome. Happy KC @shahidkapoor. Will try again next year and I wish you good health and happiness always muah."

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have been married for more than five years now. In these many years, they have been trolled for their age difference and more. 

Earlier during an interaction with India Today, the actor was asked about the negativity on social media. To which he replied, "First of all, there is a generational gap between Mira and me. We are 13 years apart, so we come from slightly different generations. So, the generation I come from isn't so affected by public opinion. That's weird because I am an actor but it doesn't affect me because it is not the end of the world for me. But for her, it was completely new. She got a lot of attention which she was initially very uncomfortable about. So she has learnt to get better at it. Initially, she used to be like 'why so many people are saying all this'. I spoke to her and told her that it comes with the territory."
