Veteran actor Anupam Kher is a popular Bollywood celebrity. Having worked in over 500 films in his career, and a recipient of National Awards, Kher is known and loved by all. But it seems like there are people who still don’t recognise the actor. The ‘Special 26’ actor recently shared video of a funny incident of a ‘reality check’ where a man failed to recognise him.
In the video, Anupam Kher, who travelled to his hometown in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, can be seen going for a morning walk. Just as he counts his footsteps on a watch, the actor asks a passerby about his route. Kher then asked the resident if he recognised him to which the man said no. The actor then bursts into laughter and has a hilarious reaction.
While sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote, “Reality Check I always proudly announce to the world that I have done 518 films. And I presume that everybody (at least in India) knows me. But #GyanChand ji very innocently shattered my confidence. He had no idea who I was. It was funnily heartbreaking and yet beautifully refreshing! Thank you my friend for helping me keep my feet on ground! #KuchBhiHoDSaktaHai #LifeIsBeautiful #Innocence #Hilarious.”
Kher’s fans and followers loved the video and dropped laughing emojis in the comments section. Many even called it ‘cute’. Kher has been sharing snippets of his getaway to Shimla on his social media. The actor recently penned an emotional note bidding farewell to his mother as he returned to Mumbai and she stayed back in Shimla. “The most difficult thing in the world is to say bye to mom,” he wrote on his Instagram.
Anupam was last seen in 'One Day: Justice Delivered' which was released in July 2019. He also quit his American TV series ‘New Amsterdam’ to spend time with his wife and actor, Kirron Kher who is undergoing treatment for blood cancer.
