Vikrant Massey will be seen playing the lead opposite Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak', which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal
Vikrant Massey is one of those actors in B-Town who believes in letting his body of work and acting prowess talk for himself. The actor, who was recently seen in the web series 'Broken: But Beautiful' and 'Criminal Justice' is currently shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, with Deepika Padukone.
Chhapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, has Deepika Padukone playing the lead - Malti, while Vikrant Massey will be seen playing the lead opposite her. They recently filmed for a kissing scene, a video of which had surfaced online and had gone viral.
In his recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Vikrant opened up about his first reaction when he got to know that he has finally bagged the Meghna Gulzar project. The actor was quoted as saying, "I was really excited and kind of surprised also. It was really overwhelming when I got the confirmation call from Meghna. Also, to be collaborating with her and Deepika is a part of it; it's something that I am really looking forward to."
Talking about the immense love that he's been getting for his stint in Criminal Justice, Vikrant added, "It feels really grateful, thankful and happy when your work is appreciated. Criminal Justice is another web series which has got very good reviews. Besides the reviews, whatever emails I am getting, from people and well-wishers are a sort of validation that every actor needs."
