Vicky and I haven’t explored horror before: Bhumi Pednekar

From her debut film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), Bhumi Pednekar has been standing out for her choice of subjects. Moreover, her performances are earning her a lot of acclaim and also making her the first choice for movies on new-age stories. The Saand Ki Aankh actress, who will next be seen in the debutant director Bhanu Pratap Singh’s horror flick, Bhoot Part One — The Haunted Ship, starring Vicky Kaushal, is all praises for her co-star.  

Talking about the Sanju actor, who has become a name to watch out for, the Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actress says, “It’s lovely working with Vicky, who is one of the most talented artistes of today. What’s interesting about our upcoming movie is that both of us haven’t explored this genre before and I was quite thrilled to experiment with it. As an actor, I love to take risk and experiment with subjects and roles.”  

Bhumi recalls being blown away by Vicky’s performance in Masaan the first time she saw it. She says, “I remember going back to him and asking him how did you do this scene, how did you that scene? He told me that so many bits of Masaan were improvised. He and (director) Neeraj Ghaywan had thought on the spot and I was blown away of several things. He is so talented, so natural, so effortless that I really enjoy watching him on screen.”
