Sonali Bendre recently filled in for Shilpa Shetty on 'Super Dancer 4' after she had to leave following Raj Kundra’s arrest.
Sonali Bendre is an age-defying diva and there is no denying it. From ruling Bollywood in the 90s to successfully fighting cancer to emerging back stronger, the actress has proved to be an inspiration for many. Recently, Sonali took to her social media to prove that not only she, but her clothes are also evergreen. And she also dropped a sweet treat for all Shah Rukh Khan fans.
Sonali shared three photos on her Instagram. In the first two photos, she can be seen posing in a grey t-shirt with brown pants and funky jewellery. She completed her look with a brown cape shrug with heavy sequin work. The photos were from the sets of ‘Super Dancer 4’ where Sonali filled in for Shilpa Shetty who had to leave the show after her husband Raj Kundra’s arrest in the pornography case.
Sonali then shared a major throwback from two decades ago where she is posing in the exact same jacket albeit looking younger. In the photo, Sonali can be seen posing with a young Shah Rukh and fashion designer Rohit Bas. She has her hair tied up in a bun in her true 90s fashion.
While sharing the pictures, Sonali wrote, “Some things age better… I’m talking about my jacket here I wore this beautiful jacket from @rohitbalofficial at least 2 decades ago and I’m so glad I could wear it again! #Vintage #reuse #reuserevolution #upcycledclothing #oldisgold.”
Reaction to the photo, Suzzane Khan, Tahira Kashyap and Shweta Bachchan dropped heart emojis. Farah Khan commented, "U make the jacket look good baby,” while Twinkle Khanna wrote, “Looking lovely.” Neelam Kothari wrote, “Wow!!!,” while Sophie Choudry commented, “Amazing.” Priyanka Chopra also dropped a hands-raised emoji.
Fans also sheered Sonali with immense love and praises. “Crush of 90’s,” wrote one user while another commented, “Some don't age at all like you ma'am. Looking absolutely fabulous.” A third user wrote, “I’m happy at least you’re breaking stereotypes of not repeating clothes,” while a fourth one wrote, “You look beautiful sona.”
In 2018, Sonali broke the news that she was diagnosed with 'high-grade cancer’. Sonali and her husband, Goldie Behl flew to the US for her treatment. The actress returned to Mumbai after defeating cancer and has been living a healthy and low-key life.
The actress also runs a virtual book club called Sonali Book Club (SBC) which promotes reading and she regularly engages in an interactive sessions as well.
