Sara Ali Khan 'shocked' to learn Kartik Aaryan got stood up on Valentine's Day date

Kartik Aaryan revealed in a recent interview that he was stood up on Valentine's Day date once. On learning about the same, his 'Love Aaj Kal' co-star Sara Ali Khan expressed shock. She exclaimed 'What? No!' when Kartik made the revelation.

On Ishq FM, Kartik was asked if he was ever stood up on a Valentine's Day, to which he first said it is a reality and later went on to narrate the details of the incident. Laughing around, Kartik spilled, “Ek aisa Valentine’s Day tha. Woh pohochi nahi; maine shayad se zyada assume kar liya tha ki pohochegi, par woh pohochi hui nikli. Woh kahin aur pohoch gayi (There was one such Valentine’s Day. She did not show up; perhaps I assumed too much that she would come but she turned out to be something else altogether. She reached somewhere else).”

Kartik and Sara were recently seen in Imtiaz Ali's film 'Love Aaj Kal', a story based in 1990 and 2020. Prior to them making the announcement official, Sara had openly announced that she has a crush on Kartik Aaryan when she arrived on Koffee With Karan with father Saif Ali Khan.

Kartik and Sara share some steamy moments in 'Love Aaj Kal', but the same was restricted under his mother's advice. Kartik spoke about how his mother reacted when he first kissed in 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' and said, “Meri mummy nahi chahti thi ki main kiss karoon on screen because unke papa – mere nanu – kya kehte agar woh mujhe kiss karte hue dekhte (My mother did not want me to kiss on screen because she was worried about what her father – my grandfather – would think if he saw me kissing).”
