Pahlaj Nihalani's erotica 'Julie 2' gets cleared by CBFC with an 'A' certificate and no cuts

Pahlaj Nihalani is back to movie business with 'Julie 2'. Unlike brouhaha around 'sanskari' former CBFC chief turning presenter and distributor for Raai Laxmi's erotic Bollywood debut, the film got cleared by Central Board of Film Certification without any fuss. 

According to BollywoodHungama, Julie 2 has been cleared by CBFC with an 'A' certificate and not cuts.An excited NIhalani said, “This is just what I had hoped for. If I was still the CBFC chairperson I’d have given Julie 2 an ‘Adults’ certificate with no cuts. It is a clean Adults film for adult members of a family. Though it’s a film on an adult subject—the exploitation of strugglers and newcomers in Bollywood—the film has no nudity, no skin show, and no double-meaning dialogues. Like I said it is a family film for adults and the CBFC has done the right thing.”

Directed by Deepak Shivadasani, Julie 2 revolves around a struggling actress and her tryst with showbiz. Just like any other B-grade masala film with a lot of stereotypes, the film unfolds dark secrets of Bollywood and exposes the naked truth of the Underworld and Politics.

The film stars Raai Laxmi, Rati Agnihotri, Sahil Salathia, Aditya Srivastava, Ravi Kishen, Pankaj Tripathi and Nishikant Kamant in the lead and is releasing on October 6th.
