Biopics are the order of the day and a lot of actors are dying to bag one. We hear that Katrina Kaif, too, is scouting for a perfect script to feature in one. A couple of producers have even toyed with the idea of casting her in the biopics they are making, but after the script narration, they come back and debate on one thing with their creative teams. The fact that Kat is not an Indian by birth is something they cannot fully adjust to. To get her to play an Indian ‘hero’ (someone whose story is worth telling in a biopic) is kind of indigestible, say her detractors. It’s only acting, one may argue, but the producers need more convincing than that, unless someone does a film on an international celebrity who has her roots in the UK.
