Kartik Aaryan to replace Akshay Kumar in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' sequel: Report

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan knows how to stay in news. He is often making buzz due to his outings with Sara Ali Khan. The actor in fact is shooting Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal sequel, which is tentatively titled Aaj Kal. Apart from that, Kartik will feature alongside Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar in Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Kartik Aaryan now, according to a report on Pinkvilla, might just step into Akshay Kumar's shoes yet again, since he has been approached for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which is the sequel to Akshay's 2007 hit horror comedy. For the uninitiated, Kartik previously appeared in Akshay's song 'Poster Chapwa Do' recreation in Luka Chuppi.

A source told the portal, “Kartik recently met up with the makers and has really liked the idea. If all goes well, the actor is all set to take the Bhool Bhulaiya franchise forward.” Interestingly the franchise film will also be directed by Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4 helmer Farhad Samji.

For the uninitiated, prior to Kartik Aaryan, names of actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal had been linked to the project. The source then told BollywoodHungama that the actors would be finalized after screen tests. We can now wait and watch whether Kartik or one of the other three actors bag the project.
