After the dastardly Pulwama terror attacks which took place on February 14, 2019, Kangana Ranaut had said, "Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is." The attack led to 40 CRPF Jawans losing their lives and the whole nation expressed their anger and sadness on social media pages. Kangana also slammed Bollywood celebrities and called a few of them 'anti-nationals' for still maintaining relations with Pakistan and their artists.

At an event held in Delhi on Saturday evening, when Kangana was asked about her recent statements, she said, "It was just a very instinctive sentiment that we all felt at that time when we were faced with that shocking incident. It was possibly the most brutal and the most inhuman in centuries and it will always be a deep wound in all our conscience. I was deeply moved by the brutality."

She went on to say, "You cannot be such a victim of your mind that at that moment, you are letting your thought process take over and be like, 'What is the best response to this? Let me think about it.' I don't think every statement of mine has to be politically correct. I felt to go to the border, snatch someone's gun and do the deed. That was my instinct."

Post the event, the actor returned to Mumbai during late night hours.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana's upcoming film is Mental Hai Kya opposite Rajkummar Rao. The film is slated to release in May this year.
