Balaji Telefilms' Official Spokesperson confirmed the report that the title of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mental Hai Kya' changed to 'Judgementall Hai Kya'.
A lot has been discussed about the change in the title of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya. When the media asked Kangana about the report, she confirmed and said, "The word 'Mental' cannot be changed because that's the crux of the film." The actor went on to say, "There's a slight change in the title and you will know soon."
While a source said to The Times of India, "The session went on for almost five hours. The film was cleared by the CBFC with a U/A certificate after minor changes and almost no cuts. There will be a change in title as the CBFC thought that it was a bit too harsh. The makers were open to suggestions and were happy to cooperate, given the sensitivity of the term. The new title will be unveiled by the production house very soon, but we hear that it will most likely be renamed Judgementall Hai Kya."
Now, the producer of Mental Hai Kya, Balaji Telefilms' spokesperson said, "Given the sensitivity attached to the issue of mental health and our intention of not offending or hurting anyone’s sentiments, the makers have decided to change the title of the film Mental Hai Kya to 'Judgementall Hai Kya’. Both Kangana and Rajkummar have outdone themselves in this thriller and we can’t wait for audiences to witness it on the big screen."
The spokesperson added, "CBFC has cleared the film with U/A certification with minor changes, which the makers are happy to comply with. With the CBFC clearance, the film is all set to release on July 26th."
