Irrfan Khan's son Babil has made some revelations in his recent post. He went on to say that Sanjay Dutt was one of the first few who helped the family after Irrfan was diagnosed with cancer. He requested the media to give the family some space and not speculate about the actor's health.

Babil wrote, "Writers must wonder ‘how do I start’, but I am not a writer so here it is; I humbly request journalists and human curiosity to ease on the speculation, the details. I know that’s your job but I also know that a sense of humanity persists in our soul, so give Sanju bhai and his family the existential space they need."

He also went on to show his support towards Sanjay Dutt, calling him a tiger, fighter and someone who will soon bounce back and give smashing hits. Babil also shared that Sanjay Dutt not only helped during the time of the diagnosis, but also when Irrfan passed away.

"Here’s a secret; Sanju Bhai was one of the first people to offer help in all and every way when my father was diagnosed, after Baba passed, Sanju bhai was again one of the very first few people that held a pillar for support. Please; I beg you, let him fight this without anxiety of media, you must remember we’re talking bout Sanju baba here, he is a tiger, a fighter, the past doesn’t define you but it sure does evolve you and I know this will be over with Sanju Baba smashing hits again," he penned.

Sanjay Dutt had complained of breathlessness recently, post which he was admitted to Lilavati hospital. It was then confirmed that the actor has high-grade cancer which can only be treated in US. It is reported that Dutt has left for his treatment today.

Irrfan Khan was receiving his cancer treatment in UK. The actor had taken nearly a year's break, and had even resumed work, completing 'Angrezi Medium', which was also his last film that released in theatres before the lockdown. The film then released on Disney+Hotstar, and a few days after, Irrfan died of colon infection. He passed away on April 29, 2020, leaving the industry and people from all across in shock.

Meanwhile, Irrfan and Sanjay Dutt had shared screen space in 'Knock Out' and later in 'D-Day', which also featured late actor Rishi Kapoor. Co-incidentally Chintu passed away by cancer on April 30, 2020, while the industry was still trying to recover from Irrfan's demise.
