Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan on Sunday (September 13) amidst a war of words with Shiv Sena.

She arrived at Raj Bhavan at around 4:30 pm today.

"I am honoured that Governor Koshyari met me. I talked about how I have been treated in Mumbai which has given me so much. I hope I get justice," Kangana said after meeting the governor.

"I hope justice will be given to me so that the faith of all citizens including young girls, is restored in the system. I am fortunate that the Governor listened to me like a daughter," SHE added.

The meeting comes right after BMC demolished alleged 'illegal alterations' at Kangana's office earlier this week. The conflict with the Maharashtra government kicked off after Kangana likened Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), further saying that she feared the city police more than'movie mafia'.

On September 9, before her arrival to Mumbai Kangana's office in Pali Hill, Bandra was partially demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Kangana, who had returned to Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh (hometown Manali) on September 9, 2020, is all set to go back there on September 14, 2020. Before doing so, she wanted to inform the governor about her ongoing tension with the state government.

State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had asked the “Queen” actor to not return to Mumbai if she felt that the city was not safe. Moreover, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has said that  Mumbai gave a lot to Kangana Ranaut and she is now working to besmirch the name of Mumbai and Mumbai Police.

The Ministry of Home Affairs approved Y-plus security to Kangana after she received threats for comparing Mumbai to POK.
