Veteran actress Rekha has turned 66-year-old today. She has been receiving special birthday wishes from all fans, but the most special one came from her 'dear friend' Hema Malini. The 'dream girl' shared pictures of her with the evergreen beauty and to say the least, it is the prettiest thing on the internet today.

Hema shared their images writing, “Happy Birthday” wishes go out today to dear Rekha. We have been good friends for many years now and I always wish her happiness and prosperity in life. Have a great day and year dear friend!"

Rekha and Hema Malini have shared screen space numerous time. Their most memorable films were - the 1987 releases 'Apne Apne' and 'Jaan Hatheli Pe'. They then worked together in the 1975 film 'Kahte Hai Mujhko Raja'.

The duo also appeared in Feroz Khan's 1975 film 'Dharmatma', Dev Anand's 2001 film 'Censor', Naresh Kumar's 1972 film 'Gora Aur Kala' and Raj Kanwar's 2010 film 'Sadiyaan'. The two became such close friends that Rekha later made guest appearance in Hema Malini's 1977 film 'Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein'.

Rekha and Hema were often spotted at one another's birthday parties too. It has been a long time (nearly a decade) since they associated professionally.
