The teaser of 'Scam 1992' was unveiled. Featuring Pratik Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Sharib Hashmi, 'Scam 1992' is set in the 1980’s & 90’s Bombay. The teaser features Sharib Hashmi telling Shreya that Rs. 500 scam has taken place, and the mastermind of it all was Harshad Mehta.

While there was no introduction to Harshad Mehta's character in the teaser, it was clear that the movie is based from the journalists' viewpoints (who have written the book). Pratik Gandhi, who rose to fame with Gujarati film 'Bey Yaar' in 2014, plays the role of Mehta. He has already made his Hindi industry debut with 'Loveyatri' and 'Mitron'.
