Pankaj Tripathi responded to the post too. He was overwhelmed with the reaction. Pankaj wrote, "[Translated] Ma'am, we have made an honest effort to recreate the moments which you have lived."

Here's his comment:

Apart from Pankaj talking about his experience, the video shared by Netflix showed the father-daughter chemistry between him and Janhvi Kapoor. Pankaj was also heard stating that the character is very personal for him.

Pankaj was also seen meeting Gunjan's real father Anuj Saxena in the video. Tripathi observed Saxena's body language and behaviour in the video. He went on to add that his tears while shooting the film were real.

'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' marks Pankaj Tripathi-Janhvi Kapoor's first collaboration. It is also Janhvi's second movie in Bollywood after her debut film 'Dhadak'.

Netflix India describes the premise of the movie as 'Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena makes history in her journey from aspiring aviator to India’s first female combat pilot in the Kargil War.'

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. This is Janhvi's third outing after Dhadak and Ghost Stories. The biopic is set to be streamed from August 15, 2020.
