'Dream Girl' song 'Dhagala Lagali': Riteish Deshmukh joins Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha in foot-tapping track

The third song from Dream Girl is out! Titled 'Dhagala Lagali', the track is the recreated version of chartbuster retro Marathi song Dhagala Lagali Kala, which was made popular by Dada Kondke. The Dream Girl song is picturised on the lead actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha. But they are joined by Riteish Deshmukh as well. 'Dhagala Lagali' is set against the backdrop of Ganeshotsav with arrive dressed in a festive mood and dancing in the rain.

The song starts with Riteish asking Ayushmann to do a promotional song in Marathi unlike most of the tracks which are in Punjabi. The foot-tapping music and fab choreography make the song more entertaining. It's fun to see these actors doing popular Marathi steps and also giving a twist of Hindi to the hit track. The chemistry between Ayushmann and Nushrat is also to watch out for.

'Dhagala Lagali' is sung by Meet Bros Ft. Mika Singh  & Jyotica Tangri. The music is composed by Meet Bros while the lyrics are penned by Kumaar.

Meanwhile, during an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, when Nushrat was asked about her look in the song, she had said, "Honestly, when they said that we are recreating ‘Dhagala Lagali Kala’ and we want to do a Maharashtrian look for the song, the first image that popped into my mind was the Madhuriji’s look from Sailaab. That look is iconic so I called my stylist Niharika and told her ‘Please we have to do something like this."

Dream Girl is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Shobhaa Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. The film is slated to release on September 13, 2019.
