Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has come under the scanner for all the negative things. Cases have been filed against the movie and it has been termed misogynystic at more than one occasion. Kabir Singh's collections however rises above it all, giving Shahid his biggest solo hit, which has crossed Rs. 100-crore-mark in five days!

The movie has set a benchmark even when reaching Rs. 100 crore mark. While Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer Bharat took four days to reach the mark, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh was not farther behind and has crossed the number in five days straight, with lesser screens than Bharat.

Kabir Singh is expected to make over Rs. 130 crore in its first week, and considering that, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is once againa blockbuster. For the uninitiated Kabir Singh is the official Hindi adaptation of the Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.

"#KabirSingh cruises past 100 cr... Shahid Kapoor scores his first *solo* century... Extraordinary trending on weekdays... Eyes 130 cr+ total in Week 1... Fri 20.21 cr, Sat 22.71 cr, Sun 27.91 cr, Mon 17.54 cr, Tue 16.53 cr. Total: 104.90 cr. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh while revealing the same.

Here, take a look at the collections:

The overwhelming response for Kabir Singh is now being compared to the first release of 2019, Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: the Surgical Strike. The movie released at a time when Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer Bharat's business was slowing down and Chris Hemsworth-Tessa Thompson's Men In Black: International and Taapsee Pannu's Game Over created some magic for a few days.

Come June 28 and Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 would release in theatres, giving some competition to Kabir Singh. Made on a budget of Rs. 60 crore, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh is now a hit, counting days till it can be declared a blockbuster.
