Yasmin uses circuit training, functional training, Pilates, cardio and interval training alongwith kettlebells and T-Rex workouts to achieve the desired look and goal. She says, “Each celeb has a brief that they share with me. For instance, when Katrina was dancing to Chikni Chameli, she knew it would be an intense dance sequence and she did not want any visible fat jiggling. Likewise, in Deepika’s case, for her role in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, she wanted to look lean yet strong, while Alia had to appear fit and toned in a bikini for Shaandaar and skinny in Udta Punjab. Unlike yesteryears, where the costumes determined the actress’ look, nowdays there is a lot of stress on making the appearance believable.” And like everyone, they too have their preferences when it comes to workouts. Alia loves Pilates, Katrina enjoys functional training but opts for Pilates when doing a song and Deepika likes functional training and Pilates.
Prashant says he designs workouts as per the requirements given to him and his forte is weight training and functional training, which helps improve agility and flexibility. He says, “Both Varun and Shah Rukh enjoy sports but their requirements differ. Varun is open to all workouts and wants to bulk up. We also work a lot on his abs, while Shah Rukh sir is also game to trying anything new. He is into weight training as well. What works is a combination of diet and nutrition supplements and exercise, which helps us achieve the desired fitness goals.”
Namrata specialises in Pilates, electronic muscle stimulation (EMS), altitude training, boogie bounce and pole fitness. She says, “Most of the celebs I work with enjoy Pilates a lot — like Kareena, Varun, Kangana and Sara Ali Khan. They are also into pole fitness, trampoline and EMS once a week.” When it comes to preferences, Kareena loves Pilates and the Reformer because you can do more than 500 exercises with the equipment. Varun enjoys Pilates and EMS, Kangana is a Pilates girl too, as is Sara.
The actor reportedly prefers natural fitness methods like climbing the stairs, martial arts, parkour, etc. He is not into gymming and believes in a ‘natural way of maintaining a good body’. He enjoys rock climbing and basket ball. In fact, on his recent trip to South Africa, he even shared pictures working out showing how seriously he takes his workouts even on a holiday.
Rakesh specialises in body building and transformation, functional training and spine under tension workouts. He says, “Most celebs come with a specific goal in mind depending on the requirements for the role they are working on.” He shares that each of them has a workout that they are inclined towards. While Fatima is into functional training, Aamir prefers weight and functional training and Salman likes mixing things up and doing multiple exercises at one go. He enjoys cycling, swimming and cardio workouts.
