Ajay Devgn to co-produce Total Dhamaal

Trade sources say that Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is not only headlining the cast of Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal, but the actor is also sold on the script. An insider says, “When Indu (Indra Kumar) gave him a detailed narration, Ajay who rarely laughs, was actually laughing out loud. He liked what he heard but he had just one pre-condition — the humour should be clean, with no double-entendre. In other words, Total Dhamaal, which is slated to release in December 2018, is being packaged carefully to entertain and not embarrass any of the actors acting in it or those watching it.” 

Of course, with the script being fine-tuned to make it a complete family entertainer, Ajay has now reportedly come on board as co-producer of Total Dhamaal along with Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria who have always been partners.

One hears this development happened just recently. The comedy, which is set to roll early in 2018 with an envious star cast including Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and of course Ajay himself, is a mega-budget film with an expensive climax that would be shot in Mumbai.

There were two film corporations who were willing to bankroll this venture. However, one hears that in all probability the deal has been signed, sealed and delivered with the one that is Ajay’s choice. This corporation has had a fantastic box office run of late and it is happy to partner with deadly Devgn on this one.
